The challenge:

A first Nations health Authority wanted to contract with a consultant/facilitator to conduct a strategic planning session with their board and senior staff. The challenge was that the facilitator had to work with simultaneous translators as the workshop was progressing.

Our solution:

Using a facilitated planning approach, we paired up the board members requiring translation with their translators and worked step by step through the planning process. While this method took more time, it was highly successful and is now being recommended to other communities.
