    Senior Consultant

Charlene’s innate ability to successfully build quality client relationships, and to identify and satisfy their needs with the provision of quality services and professionalism, has earned her an enviable reputation in Human Resources.

A Senior Human Resources Consultant with over 12 years experience, Charlene brings extensive experience in career transition/outplacement, professional resume development, career coaching, self assessments, effective networking and personal marketing strategy, interviewing techniques, mock interviewing, competency analysis, HR strategy and standards development, job evaluation, organizational development and training and seminar presentations.  Charlene is Legacy Bowes’ resident Career Guru, working one-on-one with clients to help them prepare for the next step in their careers.

Charlene graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminology and also holds a Certificate in Leadership. In addition she is a Results-Centred Leadership™ (RCL) certified trainer.

Of why she enjoys her job, Charlene says “I love helping people figure themselves out. For example, when I help people to put a resume together and then they step back and look at the document and say ‘wow, that’s me?’ it’s amazing. People take themselves for granted far too often.”

She is also very skilled at events management and has played a key role in Human Resources Management Association of Manitoba (HRMAM) and Red River College conferences and charity fundraisers.

Busy on the job and busy in her personal life, Charlene plays a leadership role in a variety of cultural activities including Folklorama, the Trinidad and Tobago Society, and the Caripeg Association. She also spends time with her family often cheering her children on at soccer games, swimming and dance lessons.
