    Barbara J. Bowes, FCHRP, CMC, M.Ed.

    President

    As President of Legacy Bowes Group, Barbara Bowes is a highly regarded HR authority, author and professional speaker.

    She is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), a Certified Human Resource Management Professional (CHRP - Fellow), and holds a Master of Administration in Education degree. She is also certified in a number of human resource and proprietary operational tools and strategies.

    During more than 20 years in all phases of executive search, she has completed successful searches for senior leadership roles including President/CEO, Vice President and General Manager for companies in a variety of sectors. Recently, her focus has been directed to College, School Board and senior human resource assignments.

    In addition to her experience as a business owner, Barbara has also led the human resources management practice at an international accounting and consulting firm and was Director of the Western Canada HR consulting practice for a regional accounting firm. In these roles she and her staff produced results for client organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to not-for-profit organizations.

    Her popular "Working World" column appears every Saturday in the Careers section of the Winnipeg Free Press and she is a regular contributor to the Manitoba Business Show on CJOB in Winnipeg.

    Barb is also a talented speaker, weaving her first-hand experience, extensive HR knowledge and witty stories into speaking sessions that are both educational and entertaining at the same time. Barb is known for her charm, professionalism and love of professional speaking.     Richard Lannon has over 25 years of professional experience in strategic planning, business improvement and organizational transformation within service-based and technology driven organizations. He excels at helping businesses and organizations take a structured approach to engage their people and transform their business environment.

    In 2004, Richard left PricewaterhouseCoopers and the corporate world to form BraveWorld where he served as the principal consultant for clients. He joined Legacy Bowes Group in 2011 to continue his mission of investing in the success of others.

    Charlene has 15 years human resources and project management practice.  This has awarded her with leadership experience in specialty areas such as: HR strategy development, complex job evaluation processes, organizational and compensation reviews, competency analysis, career transition/outplacement, career coaching, professional resume development, self assessment activities, effective networking and personal marketing strategy, interviewing coaching and mock interviewing, training and development and the delivery and facilitation of workshops, focus groups and formal presentations.

    She is a Career Transition Member of Career Partners International, a Certified Life Options Retirement Coach and Trainer/Coach of the Results Centered Leadership program.     Charlene graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminology.  In addition, she has a Certificate in Leadership and has armed herself with a considerable number of technical web and marketing/design programs.

    As an HR Professional, Charlene is a member of the Human Resources Management Association of Manitoba (HRMAM) and has played a key role on the HRMAM Conference Program Committee in 2008.  Charlene currently engages in a multitude of volunteer leadership roles on various planning and fundraising committees in support  of awareness building initiatives with various organizations and agencies throughout Manitoba.

    Brad has worked with both the private and public sector across North America and the Pacific Rim. He was recognized as the Asia Pacific Entrepreneur of the Year from the Asper Centre. Building on his earlier experiences as a champion debater and professionally trained actor, Brad represented Canada in the 2004 International Championships of Public Speaking.
